About us

<aside> 🙏 Our mission

We come together to practice mindfulness in order to take care of ourselves, nourish happiness and contribute to building a healthier and a more compassionate society.

We aim to experience joy and ease in our pursuits, showing up authentically with the laughter, sanity, and friendship that bloom from practicing mindfulness together.

Wake Up is an active global community of young mindfulness practitioners, aged 18-35+, in the plum village tradition, started by Zen Master and peace activist Thich Nhat Hanh.

What we do

Our rotating peer-facilitators (members who volunteer) guide us through a few parts over the course of two hours:

Sitting meditation requires that you know how to sit. That's about all you need to know! You're free to leave between sections and if you feel like you only want to practice deep listening, you don't have to read, discuss or share.
